WA party promises criticised as election nears

WA Labor has called the Nationals' plan to expand the Royalties for Regions program into the Perth Hills if elected in March a "desperate bid" to get their former leader into a new federal seat. On the campaign trail, Labor also promised to fully phase out diesel buses in Perth over the next 20 years, replacing them with locally made electric ones, while the Liberals claimed Labor backflipped on reforms to commercial fishing.
