00:00No matter where you stand on his politics, you've got to admit that Donald Trump has
00:05some unconventional dining habits. Well-done steaks covered in ketchup and an obsession
00:10with fast food aside, watching him dig into a slice of pizza can be an experience.
00:15And if you're from New York, it can be a painful one, as well.
00:20Are you eating it with a fork? A f-----g fork! Ahhhh!"
00:25At the time, Trump claimed that he committed the culinary snafu of using utensils on his slice,
00:31because he prefers his pizza with no crust, and he uses the fork and knife
00:35to scrape the cheese and toppings off so that he can avoid the dough altogether.
00:40While some health enthusiasts may be on board with this strategy,
00:44that's historically not how pizza works. According to Trump, he wanted to mind his waistline.
00:50Though it seems it would be so much simpler and less weird to just not order pizza.
00:56But Trump hasn't always been an all-toppings-no-dough kind of guy.
01:00If you believe in the truth of commercials, he's even thrown his support behind eating
01:04the crust first — which, if you're scoring at home, is still not a normal way of eating pizza.
01:10He's not one for loyalty when it comes to pizza chains, either, as he's appeared in commercials
01:15for both Pizza Hut and Domino's throughout the years. Even in more recent years, Trump has
01:20proven that pizza makes up a large portion of his personal food pyramid. According to reports
01:25during the 2016 campaign, he reportedly kept his jet, Trump Force One, stocked with the type of
01:31food that would make any teenager hungry with envy. Pizza was present, of course, but McDonald's,
01:36Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Diet Coke were also reportedly always kept close by — though
01:42there's no word on whether or not he ate whole slices or just the toppings.
01:46Trump's sky diet remains the same when he's on ground level as well.
01:50When attending a 2024 football face-off between Alabama and Georgia,
01:54he reportedly requested tailgating fare in the form of Domino's Pizza,
01:58McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, Stadium Hot Dogs, and the ever-present Diet Coke.
02:03It's not just for sporting events that Trump has called for greasy takeout.
02:07He's been known to splurge during other special occasions, like his 2024 criminal trial.
02:13Once after a long day in court, Trump and his legal team got a takeout order of 14 pizzas
02:18from a New York shop called Pie Guys, with toppings including pepperoni, sausage, chicken,
02:23bacon, and ranch. It's unknown if anyone dared to suggest getting a vegetable with all the meat.
02:29As we've mentioned, though, Trump's love of unhealthy foods doesn't stop at pizza,
02:33and it seems unlikely to change no matter what critics or doctors say.
02:38Trump's own nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services,
02:42Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has even reportedly made note of how unhealthy Trump's diet is,
02:48saying on The Joe Polis Show that the food Trump eats is, quote,
02:52"...really, like, bad." He went on to say,
02:54"...you have a choice between, you don't have the choice, you're either given KFC or Big Macs.
03:00That's, like, when you're lucky. And then the rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible."
03:05You know your diet's not good when you're being criticized by a guy who eats literal roadkill."
03:10Despite his concerns, RFK Jr. appeared in an Instagram post from Donald Trump Jr.
03:16that showed him and the president sharing a table full of McDonald's on Trump's private jet.
03:21They must have been saving the pizza for next time.
