00:00A criminology graduate, who was chasing his cell phone, was caught red-handed and was called a thief, so he was cornered by the residents.

00:13Joseph Moro has this story.

00:19This February night, a video was filmed in Barangay 718 in Manila.

00:23It was as if someone was trying to calm the anger of the residents, even though they could not see who it was.

00:29Some of them even had wooden sticks.

00:31In the investigation, it was revealed that a man was caught stealing.

00:38In a closer look, you can see the victim, who was almost dead.

00:42He was naked, had a knife in his side, and his hands were tied.

00:47The 26-year-old criminology graduate, Christian Ambon, who just came back from Samar to look for a job here in Manila, was caught red-handed.

00:58He was rushed to the hospital, but he also died early in the morning.

01:02I don't have a job, I don't have money, I don't have a job.

01:07They chased me, they left me.

01:11Christian's mother, Bonifacia, could not accept what happened to her son, especially as it seemed like he was the one who did it.

01:18My son will not do it, even if it's hard for us, he will not do it.

01:24Based on the story of the son, before he died, he was not the one who stole.

01:29Instead, he was the one who stole the cellphone from the corner where he lived.

01:34He chased the thief to a house where he was locked up.

01:38The son then recognized the thief as Junjun.

01:42Junjun wrapped him up, then he carried him upstairs.

01:51When he went upstairs, the woman screamed.

01:57She said, he's a thief, he's a thief.

02:00That's when Junjun stabbed him.

02:04According to Bonifacia, he was locked up, his son was planned to be arrested because the police arrived.

02:12The people said that he was thrown into the river.

02:59Christian also filed a complaint of trespassing and frustrated murder.

03:03The family of the victim, against the person who stole his cell phone, will receive a complaint.

03:10The Homicide Division of the Manila Police District went to the area to investigate a different story.

03:16The family wants to go home this summer, but they don't have enough money.
