00:00A family's peace was doubled because of their father's arrest in the Philippines.

00:07Their father was already dead for 5 months, but they were not informed about this.

00:14Mark Salazar was the one who was arrested.

00:20On May 17, 2024, Mariano Calugay entered the New Philippine Prisons compound as a person deprived of liberty.

00:29When his son brought him here, two months later, he noticed Calugay's weakness.

00:34When I went there, my father's condition was not okay.

00:39He was a bit weak, and he asked me for medicine.

00:43I didn't have anything to give him, and I asked around the area.

00:47I just asked around.

00:49He asked not to mention his name and to show his face.

00:53The family had to tell their father's mistake while he was inside the compound.

00:59On their second visit to their father on December 7, they were shocked by the bad news.

01:06We waited there for a long time, but they didn't arrest us right away.

01:10That's when we found out that our father was already dead.

01:15We waited to get the autopsy result and the new death certificate.

01:20We found out that he had pneumonia.

01:22After that, we waited to find out where our father was.

01:25That's when they found out that their father was already dead on July 16, 5 months ago.

01:31They were shown where Mariano was buried.

01:34Here at the Japanese Cemetery inside the compound where the unclaimed cadaver of the PDL was buried.

01:42They spread the news that there was a mass grave.

01:52We were told not to do that.

01:55We were told not to use our cellphones.

02:01They have doubts about their father's death.

02:04But they won't mention it.

02:06They won't tell us how he was buried.

02:08Their only question is why they weren't informed about everything that happened to their father.
