00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. introduced a variety of programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development

00:06and at the same time of the anniversary of his inauguration today,

00:09the President-elect launched a number of new projects of the DSWD

00:15that are sure to help the Filipinos.

00:18Ken Adpaciente of PTV has news for the country.

00:24Yes, Princess, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:28is celebrating the 74th anniversary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

00:34In the activity of Princess, the President-elect gave importance to the work of the DSWD

00:40as well as the successes of this program that greatly helped many Filipinos.

00:46The President-elect also considered the 4Peace, Sustainable Livelihood Program

00:50and the rapid development of the DSWD, especially during the pandemic.

00:55At the same time of the anniversary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development,

00:57the President-elect also led the launch of new programs of the DSWD,

01:02including the Family in the New Philippines Compendium

01:06that will provide a wide range of services to the DSWD.

01:10Its aim is to introduce programs that not only provide financial assistance

01:15but also psychosocial interventions, care and residential facilities for various sectors of society.

01:22The HELPS or Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System

01:26and MTA or Minors Traveling Abroad Systems were also included.

01:30HELPS is an online platform for easier registration,

01:34license and accreditation of Social Welfare and Development Agencies or SWDAs

01:40while MTA is for online application of minors who wish to leave the country.

01:47This is in line with the strengthening of the digitalization

01:50and streamlining of the public service of the DSWD.

01:54In the end, the President-elect also encouraged the DSWD to continue working

01:59to improve and improve the lives of every Filipino.
