00:00Six Korean nationals and 14 Filipinos were arrested in Calaboso after a raid was carried out in a hotel in Pasay City.

00:13The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, or PAOC, arrested six Korean nationals and 14 Filipinos
00:19in a raid carried out in a hotel in Pasay City.
00:25The so-called POGO is a group of Koreans involved in illegal online gambling
00:31whose target is their fellow Koreans.
00:33It is also possible that the suspects were involved in game fixing and online scamming.
00:38According to PAOC Chief Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz,
00:41the raid was based on a mission order from the Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado
00:46after receiving intel.
00:48At present, the suspects are under the custody of the PAOC
00:51and are facing a case of violation of the Securities Regulation Code,
00:54illegal gambling in relation to RA-10175, money laundering,
00:59and the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act, among others.
01:02Authorities are still investigating to find out the scope of the operation of the alleged group
01:06and their possible connection to other illegal activities.
