00:00Dubai police scientists recently told Gulf News that it may be possible to contract the
00:10coronavirus from touching an infected phone's surface.
00:14Phones are a pathway for virus transmission and are likely to be a Trojan horse carrying
00:19the disease into your home without your knowledge.
00:22And that is why you should disinfect your phone daily.
00:25Unplug your device.
00:26Make sure your phone isn't connected to electricity so that the cleaning is safer.
00:31Use a cotton or a wipe.
00:33Don't use abrasive tissue paper which could leave micro-scratches on your phone.
00:37You will need 70% isopropyl alcohol.
00:40Do not go up to 90% as you don't want to cause any potential damage to your phone.
00:45But also, don't go lower than 70% so it can effectively kill all the germs.
00:50Be careful where you wipe.
00:52You don't want to get moisture into any of the openings of your phone, including the
00:56jack or any of the speakers.
00:58You can wipe the display and the back.
01:01Do not spray your phone with an aerosol spray.
01:03Do not disinfect your phone with bleach.
01:06Do not use abrasive tissue paper.
01:08And do not submerge your device in any kind of cleaning solution.
