00:28You have missed an amazing morning, well you haven't missed it because you're here
00:32We've had an amazing morning, listening to stories and greeting these amazing children
00:38who, thanks to the work of the National Literacy Trust, have propelled themselves to the top of...
00:43That's so good, we're going to do it again. Welcome to Middlesbrough!
00:47**Cheering**
00:52...many more, as Frank said, than children in any other part of the country
00:55An absolutely extraordinary achievement by your teachers
00:59and as well as being a wonderful reading centre, you've also led the way
01:04because there are now 19 other literacy hubs
01:08and Her Majesty has visited some of them around the country
01:11where people are discovering how fantastic reading is
01:14and at the heart of all this work is one very special person
01:19who you met last time, Alison Potter, who is the Middlesbrough Literacy Hub Manager
01:25with a wonderful celebration of reading
01:29and what better way to celebrate the borough of reading stars than to find the absolute reading stars
01:38those people who are going to be recognised today with Queen's Reading Certificates of Stardom
01:46and they are the young people who are dedicated to reading
01:51who are championing reading in their schools, in their lives, in their families
01:55and we really, really want to celebrate their achievements today
01:58So, we have certificates, which I'm going to ask you now to present to the reading stars
02:09and Frank is going to invest them with the order of the reading star
02:13which is going to be a marvellous moment
02:15So, we have Olivia from Ayreston Primary School
02:21and Olivia is a reading star because of her passion for reading
02:25How's Olivia?
02:26Olivia has been sharing her love of reading with her friends and classmates
02:30and has been setting her networks on fire with her love for reading
02:35As we know, Jonathan's a hard act to follow
02:41and he really is the power behind the throne here
02:44He's absolutely brilliant at what he does
02:47for all readers, especially Middlesbrough, which I know has been her passion for a bit
02:53Anyway, all these five here, you have done so brilliantly
02:58Look at what condition you have, you're the ones with the certificates
03:02So, as we've heard that Middlesbrough has the best and the most prolific readers in the whole of the country
03:11I just want to congratulate you
03:14because reading is so important
03:17It gets you through, if you can read, you can do anything
03:21You can have a wonderful time, you can escape, you can laugh, you can cry, visit other worlds
03:27All sorts of things that you couldn't do if you weren't able to read
03:31So, just keep on reading and make the most of it
03:34There are thousands of books out there
03:37You're never ever going to read them all
03:39I keep trying, my book amount is higher and higher
03:42But you'll just be able to read wherever you are, whatever part of the world, whatever you're doing
03:47You can always read
03:49So, thank you very much for having me here
03:52and many congratulations
03:55And we've got teams from the early years space as well, which is fantastic
04:00And we've also got here some of the supporters of the work in Middlesbrough
