00:00The growth numbers have come in higher than many expected, but I'm still not satisfied
00:05with the level of growth that our economy is achieving, and that's why I am determined
00:10to go further and faster in delivering the economic growth and the improvements in living
00:15standards that our country deserves.
00:17It's not possible to turn around more than a decade's of poor economic performance in
00:24just a few months, but we are doing what is necessary to bring stability back to the economy,
00:29reforming the economy, the planning system, regulation and pensions, to encourage investment
00:34in our economy, which is the lifeblood of a successful economy.
00:39We need to go further and faster in doing that, to turn around our poor growth performance
00:44and to make working people better off.
00:46The Office of Budget Responsibility will publish their updated forecast on March 26th, and
00:51I will respond to it then.
00:53I have been clear that the fiscal rules are non-negotiable, and that's because stability
00:58is absolutely essential for returning growth to our economy.
01:02We've seen three cuts in interest rates since this government took office in July.
01:07That's only possible because of the stability that this government have returned to the
01:10economy.
