00:00So, I came to Dubai in 2014. Initially, I came over to study with Cass Business School for my Executive MBA.

00:07But what I really wanted to do in the long term was set up a company with my brother and my uncle.

00:12And it was a fantastic opportunity for us when the Holiday Homes industry was created.

00:17And we were one of the first companies to get a license to operate.

00:21Self-funding for us has been very important. It's meant that we've been able to grow at our own pace.

00:26I think a lot of companies in our industry have had venture capital investment.

00:30And usually, whilst it can speed up growth, it can often put a lot of pressure on the existing operational structure.

00:37We've been very fortunate that we can grow at our own pace.

00:40We've never put too much pressure on the existing operational system.

00:44And it's been a very smooth growth process for us.

00:47The biggest learning curve for us was in the area of customer service.

00:51In this day and age, you have lots of online reviews, particularly on the online travel agencies.

00:56So, there's very little room for error in the area of customer service.

01:01So, we had to have a very strong team in place.

01:04We've hired some amazing people who have come from a hospitality background.

01:08And we've also got a very strong operations manual now, which is built into our CRM system.

01:15And we've adapted this manual to different markets.

01:19So, we entered Spain in 2017.

01:22And we entered the UK earlier on this year.

01:25And we are planning to continue expanding across different European markets.

01:29And we're going to be entering our first market in Asia next year.

01:32And, of course, we want to continue growing in a domestic market of Dubai as well.

01:37So, yeah, Dubai has been a great city to set up a business in.

01:41We operate in many different markets now.

01:44And we've always found that we've really worked side by side with the government.

01:48Dubai Tourism in particular, they have a very clear objective, which is aligned with our objective.

01:53And that's to make Dubai the number one tourist destination in the world.

01:56Obviously, this is something that we can work on together.

01:59And I feel like they really work with the local businesses to help give them everything they need to achieve that goal.
