00:00Humility, hard work and prayers for me are the three key things that led to this great success.

00:09I reached in Dubai in year 1990. I worked for few years in a trading company,

00:15where I learnt every aspect of the business. Then I started my own business, Majid Plastic,

00:20in year 1995. From the beginning, we were distributing food packaging materials.

00:25It was a small office and warehouse space in their area. My brother Zainuddin was the co-founder

00:31and we were having just one employee. It was a humble beginning and within 10 years,

00:36we expanded from trading to manufacturing. This step built in 2005 helped us to improve

00:41the quality of the products and be competitive. Thus, increases the sales substantially including

00:48in export market. Within this 28 years of period, we became the regional leader for

00:52sustainable packaging solutions. Now, Hotpack have 29 branches across 16 countries. We have

00:59strong manufacturing base with 16 manufacturing units and in retail, we are about to open our

01:0550th sales center in June 2023. We have 3500 plus direct employees from 31 different nationalities

01:12and we export to 106 countries. We received several awards and the most prestigious being

01:19Dubai Smart Industry Award in year 2020 by Dubai Economy. The visionary rulers of this great nation

01:25has created all right recipes for every business to grow. Well-established world-class infrastructures

01:32such as seaports, well-connected airports, excellent road networks, state-of-the-art

01:38industrial zones as well as business-friendly policies being the main ones. All the investor

01:43features of UAE helped us to reach what we are today. We are further elevating our industrial

01:49operations with technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence. Government is

01:55encouraging and supporting us to adopt best-in-class 4.0 standards. We are continuously

02:01expanding in terms of both manufacturing footprint as well as our distribution network.

02:07We opened the latest plant in National Industries Park, Dubai in last November. We are about to

02:13open manufacturing plants in India as well as in Malaysia. Recently, we have announced a mega

02:18project in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sustainability is one of the major agenda we are focusing

02:24and it touches every aspect of our operation right from product design, raw material selection,

02:29manufacturing and distribution. We are investing in latest technologies that uses agricultural

02:35residues such as wheat and rice straw as raw material. This is one of the most sustainable

02:41products and has least carbon footprint in production. Our vision is to be the global

02:46leader in packaging sector by 2030. My brother Zainuddin and Anwar along with my other colleagues

02:53at Hotpack are supporting me in this great mission. Humility, hard work and prayers for me are the

03:00three key things that led to this great success. Constant encouragement from my mother to create

03:06more jobs is definitely a reason as well. Thanks to my mother,

03:10my wife and my four children who have been my strength in this journey.
