00:00for me nothing really mattered, I said if I stand I'll be seen, if I speak I'll be heard, that's enough.
00:10Perhaps you can talk about your character as well, what should I know about it?
00:13I think what you should watch is a whole entertainer, it's a wholesome film.
00:17If you want to go and watch a Salman Khan film, it's going to be a fun film, entertaining
00:23and on top of that I'm doing comedy, it's a short and sweet but it's laughter, it's you just laugh.
00:28What is it like working with a person whom you have seen grown up?
00:32A little spark that I saw, I just told someone before you, a spark that I saw has become a star
00:38right now. The spark I saw when he was my assistant director in a film called Falak
00:46where he used to come and give me the lines or used to call me for the shot, shot ready
00:52and he used to sit and read my dialogue, the opposition's dialogue and I used to read my
00:57dialogue with him. That's when I saw there's a boy who is going to be a star, there's a spark in him.
01:03I took his pictures, he had given me some pictures, I took it around and one of my directors gave him
01:08a film, Before Men If We Are Here. So, that was his opening in the film industry and I'm happy that
01:15I was part of the person who kept him in the film industry. So, I'm happy for him always,
01:22he's like my little brother for sure.
01:23When it's a Salman Khan film, you don't look at the script or anything is it?
01:27I feel you choose movies based on emotions, this whole thing about being you know pragmatic
01:32doesn't work for you. I think you come from a different school of thought entirely. Is that
01:37right or am I wrong?
01:38I kind of experiment, since a long time I've been experimenting
01:42South films, Gujarati film, Marathi film, Oriya film, Bengali film. You know I keep experimenting.
01:51If I can do a Mishan Kashmir, I can do a Sai Baba, you know if I can do a Yadav, I can do a
01:59Gurdesh. I can do anything, I could go anywhere. I mean work in Devdas if I want to without having
02:04a form about Devdas and Shah Rukh Khan. So, I never thought about those things. I said
02:11So, for me nothing really mattered. I said if I stand, I'll be seen. If I speak, I'll be heard.
02:18That's enough.
02:19I like the kind of confidence I think that's often these days. I think most people are really
02:24unsure about themselves. They're very desperate to prove themselves. In your case, you seem very
02:29laid back and that kind of defines you as well, right? You don't take fame too seriously, do you?
02:34No way, boss. A lot of big people have just disappeared and nobody remembers them except
02:40for the family and few friends. I mean the legends, Dev Sahib, the legend Shamish Kapoor
02:46Gheraud Khannasar, a man who was strong, who I used to admire a lot. Rishi Kapoor,
02:52my most favorite. Irrfan Khan. So, let's not take yourself too seriously.
