00:00Back in the mid-90s, Sheikh Zayed came back to look for water in Al Ain.
00:13And one of the places that he went there is Mubazzara Al Khadra, the Green Mubazzara,
00:17which is now one of the most attractive tourist places for tourists to come from Dubai, Sharjah,
00:24and even Al Ain residence.
00:26So he asked the engineers or some people there, his staff, to search for water.
00:33And he brought some experts.
00:35And then asked him to, he said, I know or I knew that this place has some water.
00:41And he pointed to some places there and asked them to take photo, aerial photos, to see
00:49whether there is an underground water or not.
00:54The experts, the German experts, actually did their job.
00:58And they came back to Sheikh Zayed and told him they found underground water.
01:04On the 4th of July, 1995, Sheikh Zayed came to witness digging the silverite water.
01:19And then it was a happy day for Al Ain inhabitants, since the water is a precious commodity in
01:29a desert environment or climate, thanks to Sheikh Zayed's efforts.
01:34Before Sheikh Zayed, before July 1995, it was a deserted area.
01:42When he came, Sheikh Zayed, as all people say, he's a baraka, he's a bounty, wherever
01:47he travels.
01:48So when he resided there or settled there for a time and he inspected the work there,
01:55he created some kind of activities or family recreation.
02:00So he ordered building some playgrounds and some villa, and he told them to rent them
02:08for free for people, yeah, some compounds.
02:13He also designed Mubazara by himself.
02:17He didn't hire a consultant.
02:19So if you go how the big lake was drawn, Sheikh Zayed, how this greenery was spread, designed
02:25by Sheikh Zayed, how they wrote, Sheikh Zayed.
02:29So one of the consultants told me it was his design, Sheikh Zayed's design.
02:35So his design, his idea, and then he brought water, after he brought water, so he designed
02:40all these beautiful facilities, which people now enjoy.
02:43People doubted that Sheikh Zayed could be able to grow in this very sultry soil, but
02:52he challenged them and he succeeded.
