00:00Dubai is undoubtedly making a mark on the maritime leisure industry in the region and
00:10worldwide.
00:11According to a report published by the World of Yachts in February, UAE is ranked 9th in
00:17the world's super yachts in production in 2018, with 14 new builds with a combined length
00:23of 611 meters being manufactured in the country.
00:27The Dubai International Boat Show is a great place for boat and yacht aficionados to check
00:32out the latest and the greatest of yachting progress.
00:36We got a chance to speak with Mohamed Al Zabi, CEO and founder of Royal Yachts here in the
00:41UAE.
00:42We started in 2011 in chartering yachts.
00:45This came out of passion.
00:49My connection with yachts and I got so connected into it and I thought of why not turn it into
00:56a business.
00:58Today we also hold some of the main brand names in the yachting industry.
01:11Fairline and San Lorenzo which is the Italian shipbuilder, in fact it was announced this
01:19year in Dubai International Boat Show and we chose this occasion since it's one of the
01:23most important occasions to us to announce our collaboration with the Italian shipyard
01:29San Lorenzo Yachts.
01:31Our main yacht is DXV which holds UAE flag and name which is DXV and we are proud to
01:39have that based in south of France.
01:43We can actually see how important the government is developing the marinas and that these developments
01:52if it says something it says that we are trying to push or let's say we are all working
01:58together to promote the marine leisure in the region.
02:02The big demand as well in the boating industry, currently Dubai is building Dubai Harbor which
02:12is going to be the biggest marina in the Middle East in the next two years.
02:20So if that says something it says that Dubai is aiming to be the number one marine leisure
02:29or market for boaters.
