00:00CityWalk will transform into open-air canvas as international artists take part in the

00:14Dubai Canvas 3D Art Festival from March 1 to 7.

00:21The annual event launched in 2015 and organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government

00:27of Dubai Media Office, is aligned with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed

00:31bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,

00:36to convert Dubai into an open-air museum that inspires creativity and innovation.

00:45Now on its third edition, the festival will feature the works of 25 artists selected from

00:50122 entries from 35 countries.

00:53The talented Emirati artists will also display their creations at the festival.

01:01Expressing their ideas through 3D art based on this year's theme of happiness, the artists

01:06battle it out for the 2.3 million dirhams Dubai Canvas 3D Art Award.

01:10I'm trying to create this inspirational connection with nature as happiness.

01:16I was thinking about what makes me happy and what makes me happy is a joy of being present

01:21and feeling connected and nature is certainly a great portal for that connection.

01:28It's more like a combination of happiness and what that represents to me and I always

01:32try to put childhood in it, like somewhere or another.

01:35So as a child, it's a dream for me, it was always to fly away so I can do that with balloons

01:41and a swing set.

01:42A jury comprising renowned international and local artists will evaluate the 25 shortlisted

01:47artworks to select three winners for the award.

01:50The winners will be honoured at a ceremony to be held at the festival.

01:53There will also be a People's Choice Award based on votes from the public.
