00:11Security at British airports is to be tightened after US officials raised fears about terrorists

00:21could be smuggled onto planes. The move follows intelligence that al-Qaeda operatives had
00:25joined forces to develop explosives that could bring down aircraft. A spokesman for
00:30the Department of Transport said the changes would not cause significant disruption to
00:34passengers and that the threat level remains as substantial, meaning an attack is a strong
00:38possibility.
