00:11His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister
00:15of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, has opened Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai
00:20World Central by unveiling a plaque.
00:23Sheikh Mohammed toured the airport with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the
00:28Department of Civil Aviation and CEO and Chairman of the Emirates Group and other dignitaries.
00:34The inaugural Wizz Air flight to Budapest was welcomed with a two-water cannon salute.
00:40Sheikh Mohammed viewed the salute from the runway.
00:43Sheikh Mohammed has also sanctioned the Jumeirah Cornish Development Project to be constructed
00:48along the beach, adjoining six residential districts, starting from the area behind the
00:53Dubai Marine Beach Resort down to the Burj Al Arab Hotel.
00:57The Jumeirah Cornish project will be 14 km in length, making it the longest cornish in
01:02the emirate.
01:03Sheikh Mohammed directed the linking of both the walkway and the jogging track with the
01:08Dubai Canal project and for the Cornish project to be completed in a year's time.
01:13Police opened fire on stone-throwing opposition activists, leaving one man dead and several
01:18others injured in south-western Bangladesh as opposition parties tried to enforce a nationwide
01:24general strike.
01:26The protest is aimed at forcing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to quit and form a caretaker
01:31government made up of people from outside political parties to oversee an election due
01:36by early next year.
01:39Red Bull ace Sebastian Vettel is the odds-on favourite to win his fourth straight Formula
01:44One title when he starts the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit on
