00:21There is no doubt that the Department of Labor and Employment is working hard during the election period

01:27According to Undersecretary Rosmarie De Leon, this is the lowest unemployment rate since 2025.

01:35The so-called underemployment rate also dropped from 10.9% in 2024 to 11.9% in 2023.

01:45This is an indication that the quality of jobs in the country is also increasing.

01:50Now, the number of people who have jobs is decreasing, but they are looking for other ways of earning or additional hours of work.

02:00The country's unemployment rate remained at 3.1% in December 2024,

02:06which is actually the same rate that it was in December of 2023.

02:11And this is actually the lowest since 2005.

02:15So it means that if we have a thousand individuals in the labor force,

02:21we can see that only 31 of them have no job.

02:26This achievement is a reflection of the progress of the strategies adopted in the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.

02:35This will also show a continuous improvement in the economy

02:39towards the creation of more and better job opportunities for Filipinos.
