00:00The government's programs and efforts to ensure the security of the food supply to the hunger of the country are continuous.

00:13The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has promised to continue to distribute programs for food security.
00:21The Department of Agriculture's programs are continuous to lower the prices in the market and ensure that the food supply is sufficient and can't be wasted.
00:30Just yesterday, it was lowered to P45 from the maximum suggested retail price of 5% broken imported rice from the previous P49 MSRP.
00:40The President's program continues to distribute MSRP for pork and to build 99 cold storage facilities for vegetables, fruits, and high-value crops.
00:51The government also studied the report of social weather stations that said that 27.2% of people are experiencing involuntary hunger.
01:00We will study where these so-called hungry people come from so that we can know where this place is and if there is a shortage, we can reduce this kind of situation.
01:19The DA explained that one of the possible reasons for the survey results is the dry season last year.
01:26I do not see that there is shortage of food. While definitely in some areas, you cannot discount that there is hunger because of, but I think that's more of economics thing.
01:38It's not agriculture related because we have almost most of everything, especially this March, April, May, June.
01:47The Department of Social Welfare and Development will also look into the hunger-free kitchen that provides hot meals to low-income families in Pasay City.
01:57The DSWD has a program. This is the Hunger-Free Project Cuisinero Cook-off Challenge to improve public nutrition.
02:10And there is also the Hunger-Free Project that provides eligible families with electronic benefit transfer. This is Php 3,000 monthly food credits.
02:22The Hunger-Free Project benefits 300,000 households or 1.5 million individuals from People's Television Network, Vell Custodio, Balitang Pambansa.
