00:00Several truckloads of campaign materials were filled by Quezon City LGUs in different districts.
00:06We have first news live with EJ Gomez. EJ.
00:15Egan, just after Operation Baklas this morning here in Quezon City,
00:20the local government ordered the six districts of the city to vacate the illegally placed campaign materials.
00:31Most of the illegally placed campaign materials are the ones attached to the power poles
00:37or the ones attached to the lines or wires of the electricity.
00:42There are also those placed in public facilities such as street signs, traffic lights, and signal posts.
00:49The convoy went around all six districts of Quezon City.
00:53Aside from the Commissions and Elections,
00:56some of the agencies involved in Operation Baklas here in Quezon City since the campaign period
01:03are the Traffic and Transport Management Department, MMDA, PNP, and Department of Public Order and Safety.
01:10According to local officials, the illegally placed posters will be thrown away later.
01:19Historically, District 1, District 4, and District 2 are the most common.
01:24So that's what we're aiming for, and District 5 also.
01:27That's why it's good that there are a lot of KINE-8 groups that will now backlash for illegal campaign materials.
01:37Here in Quezon City, we have a lot of trucks that will collect them.
01:42We'll hide them here in Quezon City Hall first.
01:46Then later on, we'll throw them away.
01:50Since there are a lot of them, we'll force everyone to throw away all the illegal posters of the candidates.
02:02There are six trucks that were deployed for Operation Baklas here in Lungsod.
02:06One truck is for each district here in Quezon City, which is almost full this morning.
02:13After the whole of Quezon City was surrounded, they returned to the City Hall.
02:19Some of the illegal campaign materials were placed here in our building.
02:25According to local officials and what we mentioned earlier, they will be disposed of or thrown away today.
02:32That is the first news from Quezon City. EJ Gomez for GMA Integrated News.
02:43For GMA Integrated News on YouTube for various regions of the country.
