00:19Maris, good morning. The fire in a cold storage facility in Barangay Del Monte in Quezon City is continuing to flare up.

00:29Now, it is still on the first alarm.

00:33At 3.22 am, the Bureau of Fire Protection received a call.

00:37The first alarm was immediately raised.

00:39There were 11 firetrucks of the BFP responding, including fire volunteer groups.

00:44According to the security guard, the establishment, at 2.45 am, when they heard the explosion,

00:50they noticed the smoke coming from the roof of the facility.

00:54There were no employees inside the cold storage when the incident happened.

00:58The breathing apparatus of the firefighters who entered the facility was used.

01:01The firetrucks were also on standby near the gas station, which is located next to the burning cold storage facility.

01:10Suddenly, there was an explosion and we noticed that there was smoke.

01:14That's why we immediately called an ambulance to rescue the firetruck.

01:18While, Maris, what you are seeing now is the situation in the burning cold storage facility.

01:30The large fire and thick smoke coming from the middle part of the facility

01:34was only observed at 5 am this morning.

01:38Because when we arrived here, the firefighters, before they entered,

01:43only saw thick smoke coming from that facility.

01:46From the middle part, it spread to the back part of the cold storage.

01:52And because there is a gas station and a donut shop nearby,

01:57they are not operating there anymore.

01:59Because of that, the operation of the Bureau of Fire Protection is now in the center.

02:02And they are also pouring water there.

02:05So now, we are looking for additional details from the BFP.
