00:00We have invested 360 degrees over the years in tourism.
00:10It is the result of a capacity to spend European funds.
00:14Puglia has shown, you can count up to the last century,
00:18of the European funds, FESRE and FSE, of the 14-20 cycle,
00:22to be a southern region that knows how to spend and spends its resources well.
00:26So we have given a significant boost to tourism, to tourism companies.
00:31If you think that from 2015 to 2024 we have made investments
00:37on over 6,000 tourism companies, from the BNB to the big hotel,
00:44always trying to safeguard our territory,
00:47not to erode the soil, but to substantially enhance the existing ones.
00:53We have made an important investment on the environment.
00:56If Puglia is one of the cleanest seas in Italy,
01:00it is due to the many investments we have made on our sewage systems,
01:05which allow the waterways not to be impactful
01:10and therefore to safeguard our wonderful sea.
01:14We have done it by investing in sport, with great sporting events,
01:19making it possible to think of Puglia as a great open-air sports facility.
01:25We have done it by investing on infrastructure, on our roads,
01:29on three very important airports, the airport of Bari,
01:32the international airport, the airport of Salento,
01:35another important airport, the airport of Foggia,
01:38which we have opened in recent years.
01:41We think of our tourists not as women and men
01:47who come from abroad to bring wealth.
01:50We think of our tourists as our contemporaries.
01:55And so this is the secret of the welcome
01:59and the appreciation of one of the most beautiful regions in the world.
