प्रयागराज, उत्तर प्रदेश: देश की प्रथम नागरिक राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने आज तीर्थनगरी प्रयागराज में आयोजित महाकुंभ में पहुंचकर गंगा, यमुना और सरस्वती के पवित्र संगम में आस्था की डुबकी लगाई। राष्ट्रपति आज सुबह प्रयागराज पहुंची, जहां एयरपोर्ट पर उत्तर प्रदेश की राज्यपाल आनंदी बेन पटेल और मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने उनकी अगवानी की। राष्ट्रपति एयरपोर्ट से हेलिकॉप्टर के जरिए अरैल पहुंची। कुंभ क्षेत्र में अरैल घाट पहुंच कर राष्ट्रपति मुर्मू बोट के माध्यम से संगम घाट की ओर रवाना हुईं। संगम घाट पर उन्होंने पवित्र त्रिवेणी में डुबकी लगाई। इसके बाद उन्होंने पूरे विधि-विधान के साथ मंत्रोच्चार के बीच मां गंगा का पूजन किया। संगम स्नान और गंगा पूजन के बाद राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू संगम तट पर स्थित विश्व विख्यात श्री बड़े हनुमान मंदिर गईं और वहां उन्होंने लेटे हुए हनुमान का पूजन किया। राष्ट्रपति प्रसिद्ध अक्षय वट भी गईं और वहां दर्शन-पूजन किया। महाकुंभ में राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू के दौरे के मद्देनजर पूरे कुंभ क्षेत्र में सुरक्षा के पुख्ता बंदोबस्त किए गए थे, कई मार्गों को वन-वे किया गया था।
