00:21Igaan, good morning. Some ingredients in making pandesal have increased.

00:26Some bakeries here in Quezon City are not affected by the increase in prices.

00:30What we are told is that the discount they made is a part of what they reduced in selling the pandesal, which is understandable given their prices.

00:43Each piece of pandesal can still be bought for P2.50 in this bakery in Quezon City.

00:48They have not increased their prices for several months.

00:51Now, the price of its ingredients has increased. They just discounted it so that the buyers can still reach it.

00:58We are used to our P2.50 pandesal. That's why we didn't increase it. What we did is we reduced it.

01:10If the price of ingredients in making bread continues to increase, according to Mr. Nestor, they will be forced to increase their prices.

01:17Maybe we will increase our prices a bit if we can't do it anymore.

01:22How much is that?

01:24Maybe P3.00.

01:28This is understood by their vendors that their breakfast is incomplete if there is no pandesal.

01:33There is nothing we can do because of the increase in ingredients. They don't have to reduce their prices because of the increase in prices.

01:39It's okay. It's the same. For example, if the price increases, it's the same.

01:46It's a bit heavy in the pocket because it increased.

01:48But if you reduce the size of the bread a bit so that the price is like that, you won't feel it.

01:54There is nothing we can do because that's how it is.

01:56Because now, everyone is increasing their prices.

02:00Pinoy Tasty's prices are still the same. Each pack costs P50.00, while P25.00 is smaller.

02:08Maybe it's a satisfaction even if we don't make money there.

02:13They are reducing the prices of other breads.

02:15Last week, the new Suggested Retail Price of the Department of Trade and Industry was released.

02:20Pinoy Pandesal and Pinoy Tasty are among those who increased their prices.

02:24While other breads like Kababayan, which is also a favorite of our voters, have increased their prices from P4.00 to P5.00 per piece.

02:41That is the first news here in Quezon City.
