Coffee and cocktail lovers rejoice! This combination martini recipe is brimming with irresistibly sweet and nutty flavors. In this video, Food & Wine shows you how to shake up a tequila espresso martini using freshly brewed espresso, coffee liqueur, and whiskey barrel aged bitters.

00:00This cocktail is a bit of a controversy.
00:02Meet the Tequila Espresso Martini.
00:04In a shaker filled with ice, add 1 1⁄4 oz Reposado Tequila,
00:081⁄2 oz Brewed Espresso,
00:101⁄2 oz Coffee Liqueur,
00:123⁄4 oz Liqueur 43,
00:15Whiskey Barrel Aged Bitters,
00:17and Orange Bitters.
00:18Shake vigorously until well chilled,
00:20and strain into a coupe glass.
00:22With the addition of Liqueur 43,
00:24this drink combines the best of a Carajillo and an Espresso Martini.
00:27It's a little sweet, a little nutty,
00:29and I think it's pretty darn delicious.
