00:06The Philippine National Police Regional Office 9 led the signing of a peace covenant and solidarity pact

00:12together with the civil society organizations and community leaders in the region.

00:22The PNP Police Regional Office 9 recently led an event to promote a safe and peaceful May 2025

00:28election in the Zamboanga Peninsula. Key government officials, law enforcement agencies, civil society

00:34organizations, and community leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and order

00:39in the region in preparation for the upcoming 2025 national and local elections in the Bangsamoro

00:45parliamentary election on May 12, 2025. The peace covenant and solidarity pact provide a platform

00:51for stakeholders to pledge their support in ensuring a fair, credible, and reliable electoral

00:57process in the region. PR09 Acting Regional Director Police Brigadier General Roel Rodolfo

01:02highlighted the importance of forging this pact with various stakeholders to ensure the safety

01:08of Zamboanga Peninsula residents as they exercise their right to vote. He also emphasized PR09's

01:14commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the election process, swiftly addressing public

01:19concerns, and collaborating with all partners to provide transparent and effective service.

01:24PR09 will work hand-in-hand with all stakeholders, providing genuine and dedicated service

01:34to protect democracy and people's voice. By anchoring our actions in this principle,

01:43we affirm that every citizen's right to vote will be protected, and the electoral process

01:51will reflect the true will of the people. This coming May 2025 elections,

01:58uniformed personnel alongside other agencies commit to provide a safe and peaceful election
