Who is the best artist or band to ever come from Liverpool?

With the Beatles grabbing a Grammy we want to know who the best musician or band to ever come from Liverpool is in your opinion.

00:05Now and Then at the 67th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. But who do you

00:11think the best musical maestro or maestros are to ever come out of the city?

00:17The Loftism I think I like Jerry and Pace makes best because you'd see him

00:22on the stage and he was fabulous. You'd come around and you'd sort of

00:27see him going in shattered and you'd come around to the stage door at the end

00:30and he'd come out so full of life. Enough to know what he had to keep him going.

00:36I am gonna be one of those. I'd say Red Rum Club. I've seen them three times in

00:46concert. They're really good. And The Beatles were very good. I saw them in

00:50Widener Square. I would say it's got to be The Beatles like even if it's a

00:54really basic answer it's just there is no one better than them. The latest

00:58accolade is The Beatles eighth Grammy Awards and comes 60 years after their

01:02first Grammy and 28 years after winning in three categories at the 1997 awards.

01:08But what is it that just gives our city the edge on our musical talents? Yeah

01:14it's just the energy about the place like there's a certain culture built on

01:18music like there's an entire bar area around the cabin that's literally all

01:23devoted to like live bands and music and everything. I'd say creativity is

01:29just like everywhere you go in Liverpool. It's like independent shops and artists

01:33everywhere you go. It definitely is just like a really nice place to just like be

01:39yourself and be creative yeah. I'm originally from Yorkshire but I lived

01:42down south for a few years and coming to Liverpool it's a massive culture shock.

01:45Everyone's lovely and I feel like they bring that same attitude to music as

01:49well like everyone's so alive here and they've got such a passion for life and

01:53like people and I think they bring that to the music I think you can feel that.
