00:00UMNO Youth Chief Dr. Akmal Saleh has lambasted a top gerakan leader for reportedly criticising

00:08DAP over its silence on the government's Islamic and Malay agendas.

00:14Akmal said gerakan deputy president Othong Keong should be supportive of DAP for not

00:19opposing such policies or plans instead of criticising the party.

00:24The Merlimau Assemblyman asked O what he really means when he criticises DAP for being silent,

00:29and not opposing Islamic policies, and whether he intends to oppose the country's Islamic

00:35policies.

00:37According to Oriental Daily, O accused DAP of compromising on its integrity for the sake

00:42of power in the federal government.

00:46He reportedly said DAP would have opposed the government's Islamic and Malay agendas

00:50if it was still in the opposition, and that it does not practice what it preaches.

00:55O was responding to Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's dismissal of claims

01:00that DAP was against the government's Islamic and Malay-centric policies.

01:05Zahid, the UMNO president, had said he had never seen any DAP minister oppose any Islamic

01:11or Malay agendas in cabinet meetings.
