00:00We discovered in Australia the new species of one of the most denomous spiders in the whole world.
00:11Brother Kim, what is it?
00:20Here in the Land of Wonder, in Australia,
00:22lives one of the most dangerous spiders in the whole world,
00:27the Sydney Funnel Web Spider.
00:30But once upon a time,
00:32a study was published in the BMC Ecology and Evolution Journal,
00:35which discovered a larger and more powerful species of Sydney Funnel Web Spider.
00:41The Atrax Christenseni, or Big Boy as they call it,
00:45is 9 centimeters long,
00:47almost twice the length of most Sydney Funnel Webs.
00:51The Atrax Christenseni,
00:52named after the former head of spiders in the Australian Reptile Park, Kane Christensen,
00:57was first discovered in the early 2000s near the coastal city of Newcastle.
01:01This particular spider is a lot larger,
01:04its venom glands are a lot larger,
01:05and its fangs are a lot longer.
01:07Sometimes you might find them in a garage, or in a bedroom,
01:09or somewhere in the house where they might have wandered in during the night.
01:13And if Big Boy ever crawls down under and encounters them,
01:17the expert says,
01:18I would not recommend touching them, that's for sure.
01:24Always remember that it is important to know
01:26This is Kuya Kim, and I will answer you 24 hours a day.
