00:00Let's turn the clock back a bit and talk a bit about what happened before January 6th.
00:05And I'd like to talk a bit about the Proud Boys, described by one British newspaper as a far-right militia group,
00:12labelled by the Anti-Defamation League as, quote,
00:15misogynistic, Islamophobic, transphobic, anti-immigration.
00:20What's your definition? What do the Proud Boys stand for?
00:23So I hate identity politics, but we do have one of our tenets is anti-racism.
00:32We don't care what colour or creed you are. We also don't care what religion you are,
00:37whether you're Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Catholic, it doesn't matter to us.
00:41All we ask of our members when they join is that they go out once a month to drink beer.
00:48We're not a militia. We don't train. We're not – I can't say we're a political group
00:55because that is not the focus of our organization.
00:59Our focus of our organization is just simply to make better men.
01:02Now, are a lot of our members political? Yes.
01:06But I'd say the grand majority of the guys, they're kind of like my mom back then.
01:10The most political thing that they've done is check a box every two years.
