Wolves’ search for their next Premier League win grows more pressing as they navigate a tricky run of fixtures.
With recent performances showing glimpses of promise but results proving elusive, their best chance may come against a top side at Molineux, where home support could be crucial.

00:00Charlie, looking at Wolves and obviously, you know, they're at that sort of situation
00:04now where they've tried their very best to focus on themselves. Obviously Vitor Pereira
00:09came in and, you know, fantastic two big results and obviously a draw away at Spurs as well,
00:14but two clean sheets. But, you know, in their last few home games, nine goals conceded in
00:20three home games. I mean, that is so damning for a side that are trying to hold on and
00:25trying to make an impact, you know, down the bottom of the table and trying to escape that
00:29relegation battle. You know, you see Everton, obviously, sort of bridging away from the
00:34pack, so it's sort of Leicester, Ipswich, they're the side that you feel Southampton
00:38have probably gone at this point and it would be a marvellous turnaround for them. But,
00:44you know, that sort of gap down there is really, really increasing and Wolves have to sort
00:49of rely now on Leicester and Ipswich to underperform. I mean, they came close against Arsenal but
00:55it just was too little too late again. You know, Agbidu obviously receiving man of the
00:58match, so some positives there. It looks as also as if they're after another centre-back
01:04in this window. I mean, it's a massive few months for Wolves to determine whether they're
01:10going to stay up. Can you see where the next sort of win's going to come from?
01:15It's difficult, isn't it, to imagine that. We're in that period now that Gary O'Neill
01:19struggled with so much at the start of the season. All of that talk about the fixture
01:22run, the congestion, played so many teams in the top half. Even those that you weren't
01:26expecting to be there, the likes of Nottingham Forest, were played against Wolves in that
01:30early stage. We've now got the reverse fixtures. It's looking so, so tough and you don't want
01:35to be in Vito Pereira's shoes at the moment. But the positive, as you mentioned, is Agbidu.
01:39He has looked really strong since signing. And then Kevin Danso as well. Two bids have
01:44been submitted and rejected by Lons for him. If Wolves can get Danso across the line, experienced,
01:50strong, quick Austrian international, I think the outlook will be a bit stronger. But as
01:55you mentioned with the fixtures, Aston Villa at home is a huge one. Anything can happen
02:00in that fixture. It's such a big rivalry and we've seen over the years that the occasion
02:04can sometimes get to the villains. Wolves have had some decent results against them.
02:08Blackburn in the cup. Maybe you can get some confidence from that, Wolves fans, if you
02:12can get a victory away there. If that's a defeat, it'll be even more crushing losing
02:16to a team in the division below. They've got Liverpool away from home. Bournemouth,
02:20who are doing incredibly well, beating the likes of Newcastle United, absolutely thrashing
02:25them and Forrest as well. The surprise result over them. They're looking decent this season,
02:29hoping for a top-half finish. Everton, they look revived under David Moyes. That Southampton
02:34game away has to be a win, surely. And then we're heading into mid-March and so many games
02:39in quick succession that are so, so important. I think what Wolves fans can take though is
02:44the results over Man United and Tottenham. Obviously the win over United and then the
02:48draw away at Tottenham. They've still got the squads that are very capable of winning
02:52on their day and winning comfortably. So maybe Wolves can repeat those antics and get victories
02:57against these bigger teams in the next few weeks.
