00:00Later, at the age of 91, the original Reina of the Filipino film, Siglore Romero, was born.

00:09Before we continue to learn about the so-called last Reina from the first Golden Age of Philippine Cinema,

00:17here are the 10 things you need to know about her.

00:201. Her father

00:27Born in the U.S. on December 16, 1933, to a Spanish-American mother,

00:33she grew up and thought of Pangasinan, where her father grew up.

00:38From 1937, when her family arrived in the Philippines, until she graduated from high school at the age of 16,

00:45Pangasinense and English were the only words that Gloria knew.

00:50That's why it was hard for her to speak Tagalog when she entered the showbiz,

00:54and she started as a background actor or extra in the movies.

01:01Gloria's first speaking line in a movie was in the premiere production movie,

01:07Principe de Juan, starring Efren Reyes and Anita Linda.
