00:00On the last day of January, we still expect a strong north-east monsoon, especially in the northern and central regions that also bring strong rains, especially in the eastern sites.

00:11Meanwhile, the easterly winds from the east are still blowing in the southern region, Visayas and Mindanao.

00:18And it continues to get stronger, meaning that over the weekend, it will be hot and windy in a large part of our country.

00:24Based on our latest satellite animation, we do not see any typhoons or low-pressure areas, and there is no sign of weather disturbance in the first days of February.

00:33Today, we still expect rain in some parts of the northern and central region due to the monsoon.

00:40We still expect strong rains here in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Lalawigan ng Aurora, and Quezon.

00:47And it is still possible that up to 100 mm of rain will be possible in the eastern portion of mainland Cagayan, eastern Isabela, and northern part of Aurora.

00:56So be careful of possible floods and landslides. And the places we mentioned earlier, bring an umbrella if necessary.

01:03Meanwhile, here in the Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and Rizal will also be affected by the north-east monsoon.

01:11It is expected that the weather will get worse and it will be accompanied by light rain, especially in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.

01:19So make sure to bring an umbrella while it is partly cloudy and partly cloudy in the sky for the rest of northern and central Luzon.

01:26Here in Calabarzon, Bicol Region, and Mimaropa, there are still places where it will rain, even though it will not be strong and will not continue,

01:35unlike this one where it rained for three days. Because of the easterlies, it is already hot and it is usually sunny.

01:40There is a chance of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

01:43When it comes to the temperature in Metro Manila, it is still a bit cold, between 23 to 30 degrees Celsius,

01:49while it is still colder in the Cordillera Region, between 15 to 23 degrees in Baguio City.

01:55For our fellowmen in Palawan, it will still rain in the central and southern portions.

02:00This is the effect of the easterlies. While here in Visayas, the weather conditions are usually fair or sunny,

02:07especially in the morning until noon, over the western and central portions of Visayas.

02:11While in Eastern Visayas, it will also be less rainy. This is the effect of the shearline, plus the easterlies,

02:18the weather system that we are facing, there is a chance of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

02:23Our temperature in Metro Cebu is between 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:28And for our fellowmen in Mindanao, the weather conditions will continue to be fair.

02:33It will be sunny in many places in the morning.

02:36By the afternoon, because of the easterlies, it will be hot and sunny.

02:39And from dusk to dusk, there will be places where it will rain, even though it will only last for one to two hours,

02:46usually because of the thunderstorms, it is still the most common in the Icaraga and Davao Region.

02:51For today, it is still the hottest in Zamboanga City, up to 33 degrees Celsius, as well as Jensan, Cotabato City,

02:58and here in Butuan, while in Davao City, it is up to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:03For now, because our northeast monsoon is still strong, we still have gale, warning, or high waves

03:10here in the eastern suburbs of Luzon and Visayas.

03:13Up to 4.5 meters, or around one and a half, of the houses for this morning,

03:17in northwestern Ilocos Norte, mainland Cagayan, below Isabela, Aurora, northern and southern Quezon,

03:24including the Polilio Islands, here in the northern portion of Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro,

03:30southern Batangas, Camarines Norte, northern Camarines Sur, northern and eastern Catanduanes,

03:35below eastern Albayan, eastern Sosogon, until northern Samar,

03:39where it is possible for small sea vessels to go up and down, especially our fishermen.

03:45And then possible for the weakening of the Amihan over this weekend,

03:48possibly by tomorrow morning, our gale warning will be gone.

03:53And for our four-day weather forecast, like what we mentioned earlier,

03:57there will be a hot easterly in a large part of the country, up to the first two days of February,

04:03but there are still places where it will rain, such as Davao Region, Soxalgen, Bangsamoro Region,

04:08and nearby areas here in the central and eastern Mindanao.

04:12So bring an umbrella and be careful of flooding and landslides.

04:16While in the remaining part of the country, our weather will improve here in the eastern Luzon,

04:21those affected by the Amihan and the shearline,

04:23and it will continue to be hot and sometimes cloudy skies only here in the remaining part of Luzon plus Visayas.

04:30Then when February 3 ends, the windy Amihan or northeast monsoon will start to rise again,

04:35and that will be our scenario for the rest of February.

04:38Sometimes the winds of the northeast monsoon will be strong,

04:41so there will be a cold temperature again, especially in the middle of next week.

04:46There are still places where it will rain due to the northeast monsoon,

04:49such as Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Region, and here in Aurora.

04:53While in the remaining part of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,

04:57partly cloudy to cloudy skies, there is also a chance of sudden rain or thunderstorms.
