Sustainable Wind-Powered Irrigation System
This project focuses on an alternative irrigation solution for rice fields and fish ponds in areas with consistent wind conditions. Using a vertical-axis windmill water pump, the system harnesses wind energy to provide a sustainable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly water supply. A miniature prototype has been developed, demonstrating a scalable mechanism that can be adapted for larger windmills. This innovation offers a low-maintenance, off-grid irrigation method, reducing dependence on electricity and fossil fuels while promoting sustainable agriculture and aquaculture.
