00:00I'm here at The Hive where Hartlepool United have been well beaten by National League leaders Barnet going down 2-0 after second half goals from Ryan Glover and Lee Andlove who scored his first goal for the Beast since signing from Boreham Wood earlier this month.
00:16Manning Orange made four changes for the trip to North West London to take on a Barnet side who remain unbeaten at home in the National League. All season Jack Hunter and Greg Sloggett were handed rare starts in midfield while Reyes Cleary made his first start for the club after signing on loan from West Brom last week and impressing from the bench on Saturday Billy Sastavius replaced skipper Luke Waterfall.
00:40In the heart of defence you could certainly see what Pools were trying to do they were resolute and well organised. Adam Smith produced one fantastic save in the first half Barnet hit the woodwork a couple of times as well and it felt like a half time with the scores level Pools might be able to hold on and get something but Pools switched off a couple of times at the beginning of the second half.
01:02Particularly the second goal I think frustrated manager Manning Orange when Pools switched off from a set piece as Barnet took a quick corner and unlocked the visitors defence. Perhaps not a game that will define Pools season but a disappointing result on a disappointing night where Pools were well and truly beaten by the National League leaders.
