00:00First of all, what was your overall impressions of the game and how
00:03how Pools managed to come back from 2-0 down?
00:05Yeah, I mean, it was it was a remarkable game, Rich.
00:07It was one of the most remarkable games I've seen in a in a long time.
00:11I felt like a fan again up in the press box, to be honest.
00:15It was it was incredible.
00:17I asked Sarn in the week if it was a game they had to win.
00:20He said no, but I think a lot of fans would have said otherwise.
00:24There was big pressure on the manager.
00:26There still is big pressure on the manager
00:28because it was such a topsy turvy game and Pools went 2-0 down.
00:33And fans really voiced their displeasure after that.
00:36I think Sarn got his team selection entirely wrong.
00:40In truth, he stuck with the same team, Bar 1,
00:43which was Cess Davies in for the suspended parks.
00:45But in attacking errors, he stuck with the same side that started
00:48the the previous weekend's narrow defeat to Forest Green.
00:52And that meant that he named an 11 without a single league
00:54goal between them this season for the second week in a row.
00:58And for a side that hadn't scored in six hours of home football,
01:02that seemed like a crazy thing to do.
01:04And to be honest, Richard, almost felt like Pools were a goal down
01:07before kickoff because I think fans were fans who were already frustrated,
01:12were really not pleased with the with the team selection.
01:16And there was pressure on the players.
01:18There was pressure on the manager.
01:20And Pools made the worst possible start going behind after six minutes
01:25and conceded again.
01:27And it was pretty telling that when Manny Disarue came out to warm up,
01:31Manny Disarue, who scored 23 league goals last season,
01:34but was left on the bench for the second week running,
01:37that that was that elicited the biggest cheer of the first half.
01:41So to his credit, although I think he got the 11, all sorts of wrong.
01:46He he didn't take too long before he he changed things.
01:49Joe Gray came on after 25 minutes.
01:52He changed the shape.
01:53They had started with a sort of 4-4-2 diamond without any natural width.
01:57But Gray came on to replace Darren Robinson, who had been booked.
02:00And then Disarue came on for Gary Medin before the break,
02:04albeit Medin had been limping for 10 minutes prior.
02:07So that was probably as much an enforced change as it was a tactical masterstroke.
