00:00The Philippines and the United States will conduct a joint military exercise in February.

00:06And the Typhoon Missile Launcher that was transferred to a secret location in Luzon will be used there.

00:19The location in the Philippines is just a secret.

00:21But the Philippine Army confirmed that the medium-range Typhoon Missile Launcher of the United States

00:27will be used in the Salaknib Joint Philippine-U.S. Military Exercise in February.

00:31In fact, another Philippine Army platoon will teach how to use the payload delivery system of the missile launcher.

00:39Last year, there was already a platoon of the army that was used to transferring and deploying it.

00:46It was also not specified where the Salaknib Joint Military Exercise will be conducted.

00:51The Typhoon Missile Launcher of the United States in Luzon was transferred several times by China.

00:57If it will be placed in a good location, its missile can reach any part of the EEZ of the Philippines

01:04as well as the part of Southern China and Southern Russia near the sea.

01:09Since it will be the second platoon to learn how to use the Typhoon,

01:13the AFB was asked if the Philippines plans to buy a long-established weapon of China.

01:20It's more of the familiarization of any new advanced weapons system for the armed forces, basically.

01:29And of course, our interoperability with this kind of weapons.

01:33As mentioned previously by the Commander-in-General of the Philippines,

01:36we are proposing for the same capabilities.

01:39So, as long as the MRC is here, we will maximize its utilization to train our personnel in these new technologies.

01:47The AFB previously stated that no country has the right to dictate to the Philippines

01:52if it will choose to place missiles in Luzon to defend itself.
