00:26because today, the two-day job fair of the Department of Labor and Employment

00:32and of Job Street is being held.

00:33It is also hosted by the Pasay City Public Employment Service Office.

00:38This is a place where the needs of Filipinos who are looking for a job

00:43can be met and their skills can be aligned in getting a job.

00:47At the opening of the Employment 2025 Job Street Career Con,

00:55thousands of fresh college graduates joined the so-called program

01:00led by DOLE and Job Street.

01:02In an interview, DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said

01:06that it aims to meet the needs of companies or employers

01:11and give jobs to Filipinos, especially new graduates in college.

01:16Displaced workers, like those who lost their jobs

01:20after the closure of their jobs in the country, are also included.

01:23According to DOLE, 126 local employers and 6 overseas companies

01:29are included in the so-called job fair.

01:32The available job opportunities are in the industry of finance,

01:35shipping and logistics, food and beverage, retail, and business processing outsourcing sector.

01:41Fresh college graduates enjoyed the so-called job fair.

01:46These opportunities are very helpful,

01:50not only for fresh college graduates, but also for people who need to apply for work.

01:58It's very helpful for applicants, especially for me, who are looking for a job.

02:03So it's a good initiative for all companies and for Job Street.

02:08We can see that there are a lot of participating employers

02:13who are inviting or encouraging us to participate in Job Street

02:19in coordination with DOLE, our national capital region.
