00:00A ship being assembled in a shipyard in Navotas was burned down.

00:08Two workers were killed.

00:30Two welders were trapped in the storage room of the shipyard in Navotas.

00:39This shipyard in the barangay of San Jose, Navotas City, caught fire last night.

00:45The Bureau of Fire Protection raised the first alarm.

00:48Three firetrucks responded,

00:50as well as fire volunteer groups.

00:53According to the BFP, the storage room was burned down

00:56in the upper part of the balance of the ship being assembled.

00:59When they entered, the fire was confined.

01:02It means that it's inside and the water and the windows are limited.

01:09That's why it was difficult for our firefighters to enter.

01:14There were 20 to 25 workers working in different parts of the ship when the incident happened.

01:20Two of their colleagues were not allowed to enter.

01:23The two welders' ship was found in the storage room.

01:27They still tried to get the two victims out and revive them,

01:32but they were all caught.

01:35That's why they were both killed.

01:38Authorities are investigating the welding of the two victims in the storage room.

01:43They also found life vests and life jackets.

01:46There's a high possibility that it really came from the welding, of course.

01:50But the question is, how fast did the fire spread,

01:53and how quickly did the victims escape?

01:57The inside of the ship is very tight, especially in that portion.
