00:00I'd also like to ask about the accent. How did you develop the accent, Tim?
00:07I don't know.
00:08Acting.
00:09Yeah, I don't know, I mean, there were a couple, actually, I don't know, we sort of, like I spent a bit of time out there before we started filming.
00:17Not much time, but a little bit. And that was just to hear some of the voices, but yeah, I suppose that was it.
00:27I remember we spent some time going through YouTube.
00:32Oh, that's right.
00:34And I was looking for people from the right part of Colorado. And you're like, yeah, don't worry, I got it. And then for a long time I didn't hear it. And I assumed it would be good.
00:44And it wasn't.
00:48No, I remember the first WhatsApp voice message you sent me.
00:51Oh, yeah.
00:52And that was a beautiful, great feeling.
00:55But it was funny because, you know, one of the beautiful things about Max's film is that there are obviously like brilliant and incredible professional actors.
01:06And then there's like non-professional actors local to where we shot. There are friends of Max's from home.
01:17There are all sorts of people who came together and it lives in the community of the making of the movie as well as the story of the film.
01:27And some at times, you know, like particularly art, like I was picking up on an accent that had nothing to do with my character.
01:38I think that's inevitably there was this thing of like we were in each other's pockets the whole time and sort of feeding off each other.
01:46And so I think that that environment of, you know, around being with each other a lot of the time is that helps settle in.
01:54It was all like we kind of, whether somewhat intentionally and somewhat by accident, I think wound up building something that was chasing after like different and broad ideas of what is real and what is true.
02:09And sometimes what's true is to work with the rancher whose land you're shooting on and for his truck to be the truck.
02:18And sometimes what's true is goes beyond passports and borders and is something about spirit and soul and a sense of land and a care for community.
02:31And that's what these people brought from all over the world in ways I could never imagine.
