00:00Budget review for each department that has finished funding will continue this week.

00:06Budget proposal for 2026, we are starting to prepare different activities according to the Department of Budget and Management.

00:19More than 50% of government agencies are preparing for the budget review.

00:25Because of the reduced funding for these agencies, the proposed budget proposal for the National Expenditure Program has not been obtained.

00:33According to DBM Secretary Amena Pangandaman, they will continue to review the funding of other government offices this week.

00:41From here, Pangandaman said, they will determine how much funding will be needed for each department.

00:48But initially, the proposed amount is P30 billion that will be needed to cover the expenses of the budget cut.

00:57Some of the government agencies that have undergone the budget review are DILG, DOLE, Tourism Department, DEPED, and DPWH.

01:08We are not yet finished. We still have a few departments to go next week.

01:16So, we'll have the final numbers once we finish the review.

01:20Meanwhile, the budget chief also announced that they have already started the budget call of his fellow cabinet members.

01:27This is to ensure the readiness of each agency for the funding they need for the fiscal year 2026.

01:34Pangandaman explained that they have already set their priorities in the Executive Branch.

01:40In the early days of the Marcos Administration, Pangandaman said,

01:44each department has already laid out their own roadmaps and legacy projects for each year.

01:51What they will ensure is that the projects and programs laid out until 2028 will definitely be funded and will be completed.

02:03We already had a budget call. So, the agencies now are starting to prepare their fiscal year 2026 budget proposals.

02:11The budget call is part of the budget preparation process of the government.

02:15This is where the cabinet members discuss policy and schedule for the preparation of budget proposals of government agencies for the next fiscal year.

02:25This is where the priorities of the government are laid out for the budget proposals of government agencies.
