00:00Let's take one quick look at some of the fantasy rankings for some of these players that we may be talking about in the future who are headed to the NFL Draft, and a lot of you in Dynasty may be interested in this conversation.
00:12And George, it's pretty much a guarantee, I think, that Ashton Gente is going to be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
00:22I would say he's probably going to be the only running back taken in the first round.
00:27If track record tells us anything about last year, yeah, I mean, we did get Bucky Irving and a few other decent players that were rookies at the running back position.
00:35But this is an extremely hard position to take in Dynasty when you have a running back going in the second round or a third round trying to predict the future.
00:43I mean, you have Brooks on Carolina who's going to miss, I guess, another year of time.
00:47Benson on Arizona, who looked really good, but he really didn't get a lot of time playing.
00:51And I think that's why your Gentes, your Bijon Robinsons, like those types are just so valuable in fantasy, especially if Gente ends up going to a good spot.
01:00But he is far and away best running back in a Dynasty League, I think, to target at the moment.
01:05Oh, in Dynasty League, he's going number one. I don't think there's any doubt about that.
01:09I do play in a Dynasty League, a deep Dynasty League, 32 teams, 40-man rosters.
01:15It's two different conferences. Both conferences can draft the same players.
01:19So it's really two 16-team leagues. It's a fun league with a lot of our friends, Craig, from our series XM days.
01:28That's when that league started. Jim Day started that league back in the day.
01:31Gente will go number one. So will a lot of the running backs. They'll go first.
01:34Running backs fly off the board in Dynasty because you just can't find these guys.
01:38Gente, a lot of people are going to tag him to the Cowboys at 12.
01:41And I'm not so sure Dallas does at 12, by the way, because as you said, this is sort of a deep running back class.
01:48So the Cowboys or other teams could wait. Gente's going in the first round, probably top 20 at worst here.
01:53I can see him going to Denver as well. I think they draft at 20 here.
01:57But Gente could certainly turn around a running game in a big hurry here.
02:01He'll be number one in Dynasty, and he's going, I'd say, no worse than top 20 as far as the NFL draft is concerned.
02:08Yeah. And beyond that, you have risky picks here, and maybe some wide receivers would even go beyond that.
02:14The good thing is that the last image we have of those Ohio State running backs is looking really good.
02:19So Travion Henderson and Quenshawn Judkins both will be very interesting going into the drafts.
02:26Cam Scadaboo is really the name, I think, that a lot of people, George, are going to wonder what he's going to look like in the NFL.
02:34This overachieving player, he catches the ball, he runs, gets into the right system.
02:39You can see him scoring a lot of touchdowns. There's been a lot of Mike Allstott comparisons there.
02:43If you remember with Dunn and Allstott, both players were starting in fantasy for a long time.
02:48And this was a true split of time, which was rare, by the way, in the NFL at that time.
02:53You didn't usually have two running backs there.
02:55And then beyond that, I'm not really in love with a lot of the guys there.
02:58Trevor Etienne, you could have probably said to me, George, last year, who's the number one on this list?
03:03I would have said Etienne. I mean, he came from Florida, went to Georgia, was supposed to be the star.
03:06Didn't really quite work out.
03:08So for me, Gente, Henderson, Judkins, and Scadaboo, to me, are the ones that I'll keep an eye on.
03:17And I really am curious where Scadaboo goes.
03:19I don't think he's going to be a first-day pick at all.
03:22But where he does get drafted, to me, I'll be following very closely.
03:27Yeah, I saw some of the people you said earlier.
03:30We're not going to see another, I guess, Thursday night pick.
03:32No first-round pick.
03:33The next running back may not be.
03:35It wouldn't surprise me, Craig, if the next running back is not until round three, which will be third round on Friday night.
03:40So, listen, it's changed from when you and I were younger, right?
03:44This is not a running back league anymore.
03:46They're still valuable, but it's not a running back league.
03:48Teams think you can find a running back anywhere.
03:50So they're going to want to spend their first two picks on your receivers, your skill positions, your pass rushes, your cornerbacks.
03:56All right, that's just generally how it goes.
03:58Two positions that no one values as much nowadays, running back on offense, safety on defense.
04:04Even linebacker on defense, by the way, sort of the same thing.
04:07We don't value the running backs anymore.
04:08We don't value that tackling linebacker anymore because it's not the same thing.
04:13It's a passing league.
04:14You need to cover guys.
