00:00To avoid the use of vote-buying, the people are considering suspending transportation, educational and cash allowance under various programs of the government before the election.

00:19Luisa Erispe is in the center of the news.

00:24The Commission on Elections will study if there will be aid during the election.

00:29This means that aid cannot be distributed before the day of the election.

00:35According to the Committee on Contrabigay of COMELEC, the programs of the government that have aid are like the TUPAD of DOLE, ACAP and AICS program of DSWD.

00:48To equalize the playing field, we are assuring that at least as it approaches the election day itself, there will not be an undue advantage when it comes to giving aid.

01:00ACAP, AICS and TUPAD are exempted from COMELEC's spending ban.

01:05This means that this can be done even during the campaign period.

01:09Politicians are not allowed to have a presence during the distribution of aid.

01:14However, if the Committee passes the resolution 10 days before May 12, aid will be prohibited, especially the assistance of educational, cash and transportation allowance.

01:45So if we expand that to 10 days, that's what we're reviewing in the Committee on Contrabigay.

01:50In the time that there is an upheaval here, can disqualification in running the election be a punishment for the candidate?

01:57That the Commission may end up disqualifying, as we did in this past term.

02:13Aside from the AYUDA ban, COMELEC will also impose the transfer of money using e-wallet in Halalan.

02:28We recognize and acknowledge the cooperation of GCash, Paymaya and other platforms.

02:36For a certain time during the campaign period, there will not only be a prohibition, but there will also be ceilings.

02:52It is expected that on the first week of February, the Committee on Contrabigay will issue a resolution on the AYUDA ban and the use of e-wallet.
