00:00So we're standing on the new intersection which is being built at the moment between London Circuit and Commonwealth Avenue.
00:07It's been a fairly involved process in terms of a civil project where we've raised London Circuit by 6 metres to form an 8 grade intersection with Commonwealth Avenue.
00:18It involved a lot of stakeholder engagement and working really closely with the NCA.
00:22This is a works approval area and so it's been a lot of traffic management, a lot of construction management and a huge amount of input.
00:32It's looking like it's getting pretty close. What's still got to happen before Canberrans can drive up here?
00:38So right at the moment we're at the final stages.
00:40So certainly we're looking to open the intersection on London Circuit with Commonwealth Avenue onto the east around early to mid-May depending on weather.
00:52So we're just finishing the road and finishing the intersection.
00:55London Circuit West on the other side is now starting for Light Rail Stage 2A so that won't be opened.
01:02What will happen as the project transfers into Light Rail Stage 2A work?
01:07So this project is very much an enabling project for 2A.
01:11So what we've built is effectively the ramp for the Light Rail to get onto Commonwealth Avenue from around London Circuit.
01:17You'll start to see Abigaildi who are contractors for London Circuit move away and Canberra Metro who are contractors for Stage 2A start to do the work.
01:27You'll start to see them start mobilising from about the 4th of February and so you'll start to see more work around London Circuit West.
01:37So still a bit of work to go but it is getting closer.
01:40We're definitely getting closer. We're really looking forward to opening the intersection.
