Michael Strahan's daughter Sophia shares with PEOPLE in this week's cover story how she supported her twin sister Isabella through her cancer battle. It was often one step at a time — literally — as Isabella had to relearn to eat, talk and walk, sometimes with Sophia pushing her wheelchair. “She would say to me ‘I just want to feel normal. Nothing in my life is normal,’” recalls Sophia. So that’s what Sophia tried to help her achieve. “Even though,” she adds, “Nothing she went through was a normal experience.”

00:15There's nobody really around your age like have fun with or just chat about like
00:20current events with and I feel like something that I
00:22took the most pride in doing was just trying to like
00:25Make small talk and talk about our friends and like what drama was going on and kind of like I don't know
00:30I just try to make things feel like as normal as possible and show her like
00:33She is normal like nothing that she went through is like a normal experience
00:37but now like looking back at that she's like back in her life, and I
00:42Think she like handled everything so incredibly well, and I can't even imagine like how it felt
