Bigg Boss 7 contestant Sofia Hayat is regularly on headlines for various controversies, she even went on to become a sage for some year but now she's back to her normal life. However, Sofia never backs off from sharing her views on many and now as the nation is debating over nepotism, Sofia too shares her story. In an interview, Sofia claims that nepotism has existed for a long time in the industry and being a foreigner just added to her woes, she said, "With lots of dreams I stepped into the Bollywood industry. I was actually invited to work by many biggies and was also given a break as a second lead in the film Diary of A Butterfly. Soon, many filmmakers and actors started hitting on me. I never let them touch me. I never met anyone after work hours, even though I was invited regularly. Once they understood that I would never agree, my work went to other girls. My portions from films were removed, some films went on hold. Still, I continued to find a place for me in the industry in a healthy way. I got fed up with people trying to “sell or buy me”. I decided to return to my country. I didn't want to be a victim of nepotism." Sofia hoped that her entry in the Bigg Boss might change things for her but that too was short lived as her image was tarnished and shown as she's someone with mental issues.
