00:00Israelis are feeling everything you just said, deep anxiety, deep confusion.
00:06And this has not been helped by the fact that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not
00:11been seen in public for almost 10 days now.
00:15His statements to the public have been basically one-liners, blaming Hamas for last-minute
00:21extortions, he said, or something not very clear.
00:24Among all of the groups who have a major stake in the current war, Israelis are the only
00:30ones who have not been addressed by their own leadership, have not gotten any information.
00:36The army has been silent, the government.
00:38And so Israelis have basically been forced to kind of listen to what President Biden
00:44is saying, listen to what President-elect Trump is tweeting.
00:48Everyone is listening very, very carefully to the Qatari government.
00:52Just today, for example, the Qatari foreign ministry, not the Israelis, announced that
00:59the ceasefire would enter into effect tomorrow at 8.30 in the morning.
01:03So Israelis feel that they've been left in the dark.
01:07In addition, the terms of this deal, in which 33 hostages are to be released in the first
01:13phase and no one knows who among them is alive or dead, have really, really wreaked havoc
01:21with the poor families who've basically shut down, are no longer speaking to anyone, and
01:26with the public in general that just feels tormented by this situation.
01:31And now talk us through what we're expecting to see tomorrow.
01:34I mean, how is it going to unfold?
01:37Right, so as I said, we've just found out that it will unfold.
01:41Basically, the guns are supposed to go silent tomorrow morning at 8.30 a.m.
01:46local time.
01:48I want to mention that there was a Yemenite Houthi drone launched at Jerusalem just around
01:55an hour and a half ago.
01:57I don't know if these kind of extraterrestrial events are going to continue during the ceasefire,
02:04but that's also a question.
02:06Anyway, the ceasefire will go into effect in the morning.
02:09And then as far as we know, the Israelis are going to begin gathering the several hundred
02:16Palestinian prisoners to be released.
02:19I'm not sure how many will be released tomorrow from various prisons around the country, and
02:24they're going to be gathered in a single central location.
02:27From there, Israeli prison authority buses are going to take them to the West Bank, where
02:33my understanding is that almost all or all of them will be released.
02:37Then the Israeli hostages, we have not yet gotten concrete information, neither about
02:42who is to be released tomorrow.
02:45The Israeli government is expecting to be informed by Hamas later tonight and then what
02:51their conditions are. But the expectations, it'll be tomorrow night after 8 p.m.
02:55or so. And the expectation, again, is that it will be three very young women, 18 and 19
03:01year old conscripted soldiers who were taken while they were on duty as spotters on the
03:07border between Israel and Gaza on October 7th, 2023.
