00:00Harold is not a hairless Frenchie.
00:07He just doesn't have hair because he was rescued from a severe neglect case.
00:13Around four months old, Harold was surrendered to Cleft Pup Brigade.
00:17We saw him on their Instagram and immediately fell in love with him.
00:21I said, I know that I can get this puppy turned around.
00:27For him to go from birth to the state he was in, that is just such a concentrated amount
00:31of time for a small puppy to be in discomfort.
00:36We knew that we had to give him these medicated baths.
00:39So we gave him those baths every other day.
00:41And he was like so comfortable in the bath.
00:44He just likes being warm.
00:46And then we would slather him with lotion because that was what was going to help that
00:50hair growth.
00:54And then we would put t-shirts or sweaters on him just to kind of soak it in extra.
01:01He loves to be held and we would take him a lot of places and we would hold him really
01:05close to us.
01:06And he wasn't fully potty trained.
01:08Sometimes we would have a diaper on him and people would say, I saw you sitting over there
01:11and I thought that you were holding a baby or thought you were holding a Sphinx cat.
01:17After a week or two, we started to notice his peach fuzz growing back all over his body.
01:25It was really quickly after we brought him into our foster care that we could see that
01:30he just had this incredible personality.
01:32It's almost like he enjoys making people laugh.
01:35After about a month, we knew that it was time for us to start finding his perfect forever
01:39family.
01:42We found a perfect family for him and they have a dog already named Hippolyta, who's
01:47a very beautiful bully breed.
01:50And she and Harold at the meet and greet were so sweet together and so playful.
01:56And he's a puppy.
01:57He's a wild puppy.
01:58But she was so patient with him.
02:01We knew that that was going to be a perfect home for Harold.
02:03When you are able to just give all of this love and attention to a dog that really, really
02:08needs it, the reward is seeing them heal, seeing them thrive.
02:13And it really is so special to be a part of that.
