Hairless, skinny dog disappeared into rice fields before being rescued — you won't believe how fluffy she is now

00:00As I was driving, I noticed this dog.

00:02Who are you?

00:04Where have you come from?

00:08You're a mess.

00:12I pulled my car over and started talking to her.

00:17But as I went to follow her, she ran into a very big rice field.

00:22Another two dogs from the village chased this other dog away.

00:31I followed her but she was moving too quick and I'm a bit of a scaredy cat in the rice fields because they're snakes.

00:39It started raining, she disappeared.

00:41I do have a belief that dogs will always come back to you if they want to be saved.

00:46I contacted my neighbour and friend, sent her the photograph.

00:51And then three weeks later, she contacted me and said, I found the dog.

00:57Wow, that's fantastic.

01:09Jan, you are a master.

01:11She had no fight left. There was no aggression, there was no barking.

01:14She just resigned herself to the fact that it was time for whatever the next step was going to be.

01:30My friend decided to foster Cherry and rehabilitated her through the crucial moments.

01:50Look at you girls having a cuddle with Cherry.

01:54Cherry looked terrible at rescue, but her journey to where she is now is incredible.

02:04How she travelled emotionally is probably the more mind-blowing part of her transformation.

02:09From the dog that I'd seen on the street who was incredibly skittish and scared,

02:14she bonded really hard with the people that she trusted.

02:22She got to experience how to play with other dogs.

02:31Other friends of mine called up and said they wanted to foster a dog.

02:38After their two weeks with her, they decided they were in love and they wanted to adopt her.

02:45Cherry has the most incredible life. She's cradled like a baby by her dad.

02:49She runs through the grass and through the open fields.

02:52She's got three other dog siblings.

02:55She's the happiest little thing, and it was a miracle.
