00:08As Rubio said, the only way to stay in the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines is through the China's monster ship.

00:21The Philippine Coast Guard has been monitoring the China Coast Guard's monster ship for almost two weeks.

00:27Yesterday, BRP Gabriela Silang once again broadcasted this message.

00:30China Coast Guard Vessel 5901, this is Philippine Coast Guard Vessel BRP Gabriela Silang.

00:39You do not possess any legal authority to patrol inside the Philippines' exclusive economic zone.

00:47You are directed to depart immediately and notify us of your intention.

00:52The China Coast Guard responded.

00:55This is China Coast Guard Vessel 5901.

01:00I'm performing law enforcement duties on the jurisdictional waters of the People's Republic of China.

01:07In the midst of the chaos, the China Coast Guard patrols inside the Philippines' exclusive economic zone.

01:16The so-called words against China were heavy when the next US Secretary of State, Senator Mark Rubio,

01:25in his confirmation hearing in the US Senate, called Rubio a harassment by China.

01:32There's this massive, I don't even know how to describe it, but this massive ship that the Chinese have built

01:36that's like headed towards the Philippines and the Philippines feels threatened by it, rightfully so.

01:41We've seen this on a daily basis with the harassment and so forth, but on a daily basis.

01:48The actions they are taking now are deeply destabilizing.

01:51They are forcing us to take counteractions because we have commitments to the Philippines

01:55and we have commitments to Taiwan that we intend to keep.

01:59We really need to stop messing around with Taiwan and with the Philippines

02:02because it's forcing us to focus our attention in ways we prefer not to have to.

02:08Rubio is one of the strong supporters of the Mutual Defense Treaty, or MDT, of the United States and the Philippines.

02:16The leads of PRC is the most potent and dangerous near-peer adversary this nation has ever confronted.

02:24They have elements that the Soviet Union never possessed.

02:26They lied about not militarizing and populating island chains in the South China Sea and the like.

02:31Meanwhile, the Philippine Navy is conducting a unilateral exercise

02:36in the Bajo de Masinlok area today.

02:41The Navy is trying to distance itself from the use of modern weapons.

02:45The ships of BRP Antonio Luna and the Del Pilar-class patrol vessels
